I do cardio kickboxing most time; sandbag training once a month (skipped a lot). I'm better at punching than kicking, particularly suck at various huaren.us kicks. Have you tried upper cut punch? Very powerful !

I can't lose weight any more because of my wide bone structure and pear body shape. I was 118 lb at a time, I looked horrible! My cheeks were sunken and ribs were showing, which added at least 5 years age to me. I am 123 lb now, I look more feminine and soft. I'm happy with this weight.

Romanian deadlift has 2 different types: stiff-legged and non-stiff.
Don't use stiff-legged version, like you said too much stress to your lower back, especially when you work with heavy weights.

great! I could see you are very disciplined, motivated, and smart...Your new boss is very lucky to have u~~~ Thanks !! My current boss is exercising his power at the last minute. He is trying to keep me longer. I am calm, very calm. He can hold me maximum 3 weeks. Countdown has started.... haha...
My only worry is: with the new job, I have to adjust my training schedule. I may not be able to train 5 times a week. My plan is to exercise 4 times a week with high intensity. Have to wait and see.

Sometimes I feel lost too for different reasons: not motivated, boss being an ass, no support from colleague, million chores at home, or just under weather for no reasons. The ways I cope with this kind of feeling are:
Don't let the feeling of "lost" lingering overnight. Believe tomorrow is another day. Behave professional at work, telling myself: the fact that someone is an ass can't change my principals. I will try my best to be rational and polite at work. Doing so will benefit myself in long run. Distraction, distraction: anything can take my anger/upset/lost away. Kickboxing has been very helpful! If one kickboxing session is not enough, schedule for 2 ! Tiantian, have a great weekend !

I feel loss these days because i cannot find the meaning from my recent work.....I even said "it doens't matter what i am thinking" to my boss.....I bet he is disappointed at me....
so basically they are the same movements but just different moving direction, right? 不一样. 主攻的肌肉群(我的答复里注明了), 还有对肌肉刺激的角度都不同, 身体的反应也不一样. 感兴趣的话, 你可以尝试一下, 用dumbbell就行.
I understand you may not feel motivated once you worked on the same job for years. I shared the same feeling for my current job (3 years on post). From my own and others' experience, I learned that sticking to your principles and being professional goes long way. Maybe your boss has been ignoring your suggestions or has no comments to your work. It's up to you to show that you are valuable asset and contributing to the work. Overtime, you will gain reputation as a responsible team player.

no....it is majorly VO2max and endurance. VO2天生的很重要.但是后天还是可以train..就是很漫长..摄氧量要足够你能狂奔..你需要大口的呼吸..但是也不是説肌肉无关..你在大口呼吸并且狂奔的状态很可能会岔气这当然就需要你有很强的core把你的五脏六腑hold紧不要撞击..我自己感觉摄氧量需要tempo, interval or mile repeat..tempo可以让你保持长期的摄氧..至少3 mile..interval or mile repeat可以增加你的max..

Tiantian, have a great weekend ! 谢谢啊。我老板还不错,就是很爱说的那种美国中年妇女。 但是我有个co-worker 6个孩子! 用多一半的时间,干和我一样的活。 然后我老板就把他的活给我! 隔3差5就是我那个孩子病了,然后晚来,早走。唉。 然后我上个礼拜跟我朋友,晚上去了医院,把他最心爱的宝贝狗, put to sleep. 唉。 然后就是很沮丧的一个礼拜。 我回头kickboxing 去, 出出汗,然后浑身疼,也是种解脱啊。
I fired my boss for the same reason..lol..I am super rebellious..yet capable..if you wanna keep me..shut the hell up and listen..if you wanna let me go..I can walk out on you...if you want me to admire you crap...you wish till the world ends.. Re ! I can deal with an incompetent boss, but not an arrogant one. Disagreements are healthy, I may be okay with giving in at the end of the arguments. But not allowing or listening to different opinions, No way!
lol...差不多...跑步是个很精神层面的东西...跟瑜伽一样...动也好..静也好...殊途同归...如果你只是上了跑步机get it done..是体会不到的..不跳火力咋涅磐呢.. Completely agree! In my 10K race, it's the feeling about running as well as what happened during running motivate me to run, not running itself.

我是带着手套对着我trainer 的pad 打, 足足打了30分钟啊! 我手的关节都肿了.爽啊!

我这一年就几乎没有下过120..上次量体脂比的时候有118...低血糖晕死我了..不过也不是因为减肥..吃的还挺多就是狂跑了10天大发了..
不过我还是要继续努力..either i lose some weight or I get slimmer muscle..不然成绩就是上不去..必须更lean...必须的...

In order to find out my ideal weight, I observed my weight changes very carefully: from 125, 122, 120, 118, 116.2 (after a stressful project), 121, 122 to 123lb (now). Sadly, I found that you can't fight against your gene which determines your muscle shapes and structures etc.. regardless how much efforts you put in. At weight of 117-118lb, my legs were slimmer and abs looked great with distinct 4 packs, while my face was bony and breasts were noticeble reduced. I looked older and muscular. I don't feel like that's me!
Now my goal is to have a balanced figure - atheletic yet feminine; by:
building a wider shoulders and narrower middle section;
building a curvy butt;
tightening legs
Maybe I will never have the slim legs and big breasts that I've always dreamed of (plastic surgery is not an option for me). That's okay. I'll work with my limitations and try my best to improve how I look and how I feel. The whole process is fun and enjoyable.
Flowersmom, what I am trying to say is weight is only a reference point. How do you want yourself look like and feel like are most important ! +++UUU !!

My only worry is: with the new job, I have to adjust my training schedule. I may not be able to train 5 times a week. My plan is to exercise 4 times a week with high intensity. Have to wait and see.

what is the difference between Romanian deadlift and the regular deadlift? Different form and different target area?
Romanian Deadlift: weight moves from high (thigh) to low (floor) - put down movement; Target areas: hamstring (main target), erector spinae, glute, quads, shoulder.

Lucky or not depends on how you interprete things. As long as you and your family are healthy and have each other's support, you are lucky.
Exercise: none. rest.
Diet:
Breakfast: 1 whole grain carrot muffin, 1 large coffee
Snack: None (meeting)
Lunch: Grilled lemon pepper catfish (4 oz), broccoli florets, rice pilaf
Snack: 1 pack Stix, 1 M coffee
Dinner: BBQ chicken vermichelli, 1 fried spring roll, 1 can diet coke, 1 slice cake (finally finished my hubby's birthday cake!)

到不是skinny的问题..我现在要train的是muscle的持久性和灵活性...象单纯抗阻我就不太感兴趣..肌肉乳酸代谢效率要大幅度提高..整个身体要more integrated..stronger core..能把整个身体hold住...比赛最后三十分钟感觉随时都会散掉...

每次看你的帖子总能找到动力,我的目标除了building a wider shoulders以外,其他都和你一样。但我深切的怀疑我的腰真的能细下来,我觉得这个跟基因也有关系,再加上我的肩很宽,所以这些年来虎背熊腰的称号一直跟随着我。。。

Sometimes I feel lost too for different reasons: not motivated, boss being an ass, no support from colleague, million chores at home, or just under weather for no reasons. The ways I cope with this kind of feeling are:
Don't let the feeling of "lost" lingering overnight. Believe tomorrow is another day.
Behave professional at work, telling myself: the fact that someone is an ass can't change my principals. I will try my best to be rational and polite at work. Doing so will benefit myself in long run.
Distraction, distraction: anything can take my anger/upset/lost away. Kickboxing has been very helpful! If one kickboxing session is not enough, schedule for 2 !

For abs, try to work 3 times a week. Over time, you will see the results !
Exercise:
WT - full body: 1 hour
Warm-up: rowing 7 min. @5
Quads: 2 - 4x12; 4x10
Ham: 2 - 3x12; 3x12
Glute: 3x12 (12.5) [cable kick-back]
Calves: 3x12
Chest: 2 - 3x12
Back: 2 - 3x12, 3x10
Tri-: 2 - 3x10, 2x10
Bi-: 3x10

Diet:

不一样. 主攻的肌肉群(我的答复里注明了), 还有对肌肉刺激的角度都不同, 身体的反应也不一样. 感兴趣的话, 你可以尝试一下, 用dumbbell就行.
I understand you may not feel motivated once you worked on the same job for years. I shared the same feeling for my current job (3 years on post). From my own and others' experience, I learned that sticking to your principles and being professional goes long way. Maybe your boss has been ignoring your suggestions or has no comments to your work. It's up to you to show that you are valuable asset and contributing to the work. Overtime, you will gain reputation as a responsible team player.
Each job is different. my comments may not apply to your case, for your reference only : )

He told me the subordinate should never say no to the boss. He was shocked when I told him that I am leaving. He gave me tons of things to do and tried to hold me till end of Sept. I am taking time to complete all the tasks, haha....

I fired my boss for the same reason..lol..I am super rebellious..yet capable..if you wanna keep me..shut the hell up and listen..if you wanna let me go..I can walk out on you...if you want me to admire you crap...you wish till the world ends..

lol...差不多...跑步是个很精神层面的东西...跟瑜伽一样...动也好..静也好...殊途同归...如果你只是上了跑步机get it done..是体会不到的..不跳火力咋涅磐呢..
我偶尔能感觉到那种跑步时很美好的感觉。。。。就像全身都打开了,像动物的本能一样往前飞奔。。。。但是很快就被加速的心跳和疲惫的感觉代替了。。。。所以归根究底还是肌肉力量不够。。。

谢谢啊。我老板还不错,就是很爱说的那种美国中年妇女。 但是我有个co-worker 6个孩子! 用多一半的时间,干和我一样的活。 然后我老板就把他的活给我! 隔3差5就是我那个孩子病了,然后晚来,早走。唉。 然后我上个礼拜跟我朋友,晚上去了医院,把他最心爱的宝贝狗, put to sleep. 唉。 然后就是很沮丧的一个礼拜。
我回头kickboxing 去, 出出汗,然后浑身疼,也是种解脱啊。
看来只有慢慢练了,别无他法,一声长叹!
你的routine/base都很好了..如果不比赛没必要练endurance..能跑40分钟足够了.加上些WT塑身效果挺好的..
长跑适合自虐的人...并不是很好的塑身手段...它的侧重点更多的在于我虐了我爽了..哈哈..塑身来说其实满梨子的..不太balance..

Re ! I can deal with an incompetent boss, but not an arrogant one. Disagreements are healthy, I may be okay with giving in at the end of the arguments. But not allowing or listening to different opinions, No way!

Completely agree! In my 10K race, it's the feeling about running as well as what happened during running motivate me to run, not running itself.
