绝对要告诉学校,不敢相信一个老师有这样的言辞,说明她/他其他方面也有问题,我会不放心把孩子交给这个老师的。

不需要那些smart pants comments,直接写email 给校长,copy 老师, make transparent comments about your concern

Dear Mrs. XX and Mrs. XX,

My daughter recently came home concerned about a comment made during a class session, regarding products made in China.

I share my daughter's concern and in my mind, this is a two-fold issue. First, as you know, our family is from Chinese heritage, and we take a lot of pride in our culture. I do believe, as our community embraces diversity, all cultures and heritages should be equally valued and respected.

Second, as much as we are all entitled to our own opinions, which often are formed based on our past experiences, a generalized comment, about a person, a country or a matter, is often times not fair and / or lack of reasonable basis. That certainly would not be the example we would like to set for our children, whether that's at home or school.

Your continued support in this matter would be greatly appreciated and we, as a family, would also continue to foster the values shared in our communities and schools and embrace the cultural diversities that all of us benefit tremendously from.

Best Regards,

XX
