美国警察主要职责本来就是维护社会治安，而不是救人，很多危险状况下，根本是事后收尸用的。 这就是为啥 持枪权对普通民众如此重要。

我一年前看到的一篇中文文章里面提到两个著名例子，都是三四十年前的事，我记得其中一个是两个女的在自己的apartment里面遭到袭击，警察在楼下街区来来回回开了好几趟也没上来阻止。听起来有点荒唐，但是警察就是这样的职责，最后法院判警察无罪。所以拥枪权很重要。
