温哥华警方指，事发于当地时间26日晚上8时左右，肇事汽车在东41街（E. 41st Ave.）与菲沙街（Fraser St.）交界处撞向参加街头节庆活动的民众，导致多人死伤。目前涉事男司机已被扣留调查，未知事发原因，警方有信心认为事件并非涉及恐怖主义。
