事发于24日下午5时前，巧克力工厂突然爆炸并起火，现场冒出浓烟。爆炸的工厂大楼以及邻近的另一座大楼也受损。

警方表示，救援工作仍在进行，爆炸原因仍在调查中。警方建议民众避开事发工厂以及工厂附近的区域，直至另行通知。
