这就是给了你一个平台,让你有机会做事。然后做了事这个领导位置等于是legitimized 你写进去的成就。双向作用的意思。如果只有title写不出做了什么,这个title没用。
另外俺娃拿到过一个T20 全奖,看到的候选人介绍材料里,基本每个人都有类似这种全校组织的领导位置。我个人感觉这是他们的考虑因素之一。

Student Council其实是popular vote, 不一定是leadship.
9年级做够当学生会干部义工小时,10年级竞选学生会一般职位,11年级竞选VP, 12年级竞选president.

可以参加学校的board meeting, 毕业时可以上台给五千多毕业学生和家长致辞。

没选上学生会主席的会当选class president. 几乎每年这样。
而且每年的学生会主席都去T5
主席会讲话,然后其余两三个名额自由竞争
娃从初中开始参加debate队,一直持续到高中毕业。我们高中是州里的强队,参加各种level的比赛,经常是团体第一。娃的比赛成绩不是最好的,但是热衷于此,从11年级开始做captain,最后12年级拿到州里的州长奖。也许对升学没有直接的的作用,但是在这个过程中思维表达能力提高了。同时还参加了computer club和某个义工组织,都做到VP。不知道这些活动在升学中占多少比重,也许加了点分,也许没有,反正娃乐在其中。
刚开始做的时候,根本不知道会走多远,如果孩子有兴趣,会坚持下去,才能看到不错的结果。有个目标,可以作为前进的动力。
