洪都拉斯把台湾踹了，与中共联姻。
众所周知，任何国家想和中共建交，先决条件是承认一中，承认台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分。因此，建交公报是这样写的：
洪都拉斯共和国政府承认世界上只有一个中国，中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分。

但是，中美建交公报的版本却不一样，长期以来，中方一直指责美国玩文字游戏，可是英文就是有recognize 和 acknowledge两个词汇，老美当初用acknowledge，邓小平代表中国签了字的。

就外交术语而言，美国承认“一个中国”，但不承认大陆对台湾拥有主权，也认可事实上（de facto）台湾作为一个国家存在的合法性。
在洪都拉斯与大陆建交后，美国国务院发言人表示，美国强烈鼓励所有国家扩大与台湾的交流，不论宏都拉斯的决定为何，美国将会持续深化、扩大与台湾的往来。继佩洛熙访台之后，美国政府与台湾的联络不断加深，蔡英文正在筹划访美并会晤麦卡锡。台湾失去一个洪都拉斯，或许能得到更多的国际声援，甚至不排除与美国建交的可能性。
