就是觉得quit比lay off要好听些。自己走比让别人叫走,感觉不同。

从聘方的角度出发,lay off 与员工无关,工作没了是公司没搞好。quit 与员工有关,实际上是如果不辞职,就要被开除了。

辞职当然比layoff 好听呀,问题是您辞后无工作别人肯定问您为啥辞呀

这种无业游民状态还只有被laid off比较说得过去. You don't have the luxury to use "quit" or "resign" at this point unless you have gotten an offer right after it.

lay off Pros and Cons

The new company might think, "why you got laid off not others?" If you were in lay off in the past two or three jobs, that might raise a red flag to the hiring manager. If you were laid off only once, do list specific reason, such as "the whole group was cut".

Also always focus on the positive side, "I quit so that I can recharge myself", etc. "During my time between jobs, I focused on learning xxx"
