我觉得你应该home school,在英语这方面要多花时间和功夫。homeschool有很好的support和social network、比在学校的social activities还丰富,初中用两到三年homeschool,赶上和超过一般学生,八年级回学校,为高中做准备。至于你的职业,耽误两三年不是个大问题 ,毕竟孩子最重要。

我想数学用人教版,用中文教。先把小学数学用中文重新学一遍。
英语我想用Allinonehome,都是免费的书,把四年级之前的他们的书单补看一遍。英语阅读先听audible,再自己复述课文的方法练表达力。allinonehome上面也有科学历史课。
写作是每天写一篇,目前是改写课文。每天两个小时数学,两个小时阅读,两个小时英文写作,有余下的时间看人教版语文书,当作认字扫盲。
有那种K12的公立的网上学校,随时可以注册,是免费的,先不想去,因为想先补差,另外觉得allinonehomeschool 的材料挺好的。

而我自己没有语言交流障碍。
儿子姥姥带着,从小中文输入更多一些。学校主要是白人,儿子说他一开始听不懂老师说话,一年后听懂了。他喜欢和小朋友玩,喜欢跟从白孩子。老师说他能和小朋友一起玩。不是性格孤立那种。但是上课不发言,开口说话很短少。
孩子就是一个正常普通娃,但是妈妈的期望值明显太高,所以才会造成焦虑不安。如果妈妈先把期望值放低,心态放平。同时鼓励孩子发展他的兴趣,并予以全力支持。慢慢地,一切都會好起來的。
2分不及格,进不了好中学。
我家老二不笨,但语言能力极差, 两岁半才开始说简单句子, 而且还结巴. 我其实没见过说英文结巴的, 但是想到他表达困难就没说什么, 直到8岁的时候才提醒他改过来. 他小时候老打他哥就是因为说不过生气. 他在学校特安静,但成绩极差,老师也不知道为什么. 直到3年级碰到一个50多岁的胖老师, 快退休了, 记性也不好, 就是人好, 给我的感觉是一个老奶奶放一群小鸭子. 4年级的时候, 还是同一个老师和一样的同学. 老师说他开始和同学交流了, 也有朋友了,成绩不知不觉就好起来了.
你试着给你儿子找个他喜欢的老师吧, 比你自己教强.
