好朋友儿子州大CS专业， 成绩，编程能力都很好，有大厂intern经验，3年应该就能毕业。
小孩本科没做过research, 有想在一个领域多研究一下，但又不确定是不是将来读博，想先读个MS看看。
当妈的是藤迷，孩子当年没进藤校很遗憾，想让孩子申请高一级学校的MS，只是不在本校读的话，MS要二年。
他面临三种选择，
1. 毕业先工作，看情况是否之后再读MS
2. 本校BS/MS连读，4年拿个MS
3. 3年毕业，读更好学校的MS
好像各有利弊，大人孩子都不确定，想听过来人的建议，请问哪种选择更好些？
Top 学校的phd program 只靠GPA很难进的。 research 的经历和paper 占的比重很大。
哪个offer到了就跟哪个。如果两个都到了，那么赚钱的碾压花钱的。
藤硕士容易申请到（M除外）
在Google research，Microsoft research能呆下来的话，过几年收入也有三十多万。

孩子自己肯定有答案了，按照自己的选择去做。大人最好不参与意见。
对那些不喜写Paper但动手能力强的孩子，读CS的MS、Phd 没必要。CS领域的技术发展太快，需要在实践中磨炼积累经验。只要本科期间将数学基础Linear 2, Calculus 3，一些Machine Learning相关的 Statistics 系列课程，CS algorithm 等学好，打下扎实基础，CS本科比不少CS Master找的工作&薪水都好。这领域是：强者上，不看学历。
