An ABC girl from nowhere who wants to be a CS nerd
Accepted:
1. Own state University Honors College, need to pay 25K
2. RPI, need to pay 40k
3. Northeastern Honors College, need to pay 40K (she told me that the school will offer $6K to cover traveling related cost when study abroad)
4. Boston University, need to pay the full price - 70K+
5. NYU Presidential Honors, need to pay the full price - 70K+ (doesnt want to do business)
Waitlisted:
GA tech, UCB - both are out of state so need to pay the full price I suspect.
Which school do you guys recommend? If she gets one of the waitlists should she consider it?
Thanks everyone for your comments/recommendation!!!
then I told her that she would have more chances of getting a nice BF
anywhere anytime.
they did something tricky to bring up their rankings
I think chances of getting the horse is very small
RPI is no longer as good as it used to be, especially reputation.
BU/NYU for 70k+/yr, probably not worth it.
40K NEU vs 25K Rutgers - NEU could be a better value.
Boston is arguably one of the best (if not the best) towns in the world to attend college.
NEU overall student profile is now stronger than that of BU and still rising.
Location, unique co-op programs, rising rep, pretty strong student body, reasonable cost - all these favor NEU.
she gets UCB we will let her go. However, I heard that UCB is pretty tough for CS. Is that true?
she didnt apply
