Source: "A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones." - Bible: Proverbs 14:30 New King James Version (NKJV),
Meaning:
Envy looks at another and desires what they have. Envy is so destructive that it robs us of joy. It steals our peace of mind and causes bitterness in our hearts. When we envy, we fail to appreciate our own. While someone else's life may sound great to us, we do not know the struggles they might be facing.
Difference between envy (妒忌) and jealousy (嫉妒): Envy is wanting what someone else has; Jealousy is when one worries someone will take what 1. one has or 2. one thought one had or 3. one could have had.
I believe one should treasure what one already has and work hard to archive what one desires if possible. There is no need to envy anyone, as it will be a waste of one's time, in addition to what stated above. So if one cares, be happy for others when others show good quality and are successful; If one doesn't care, just walk away and be happy with oneself. ;-)
And, stay away from jealousy as it will destroy you for sure.
I was2 1st, but ran in2things thatCan't explain w/o Nature;)
Like
the plant story in my office;
also Once I randomly said a mileage number somewhere just outside Montreal on the way driving back to Ottawa, and that was exactly the km number when we reached our home door, not even 0.1km off.
My pencil can draw by itself when I was deep into the drawing;
And many other "strange " things.
These couldn't be me alone, as I couldn't have that type of power as a human.
