【Poem Reading Tuesday】The Star 英文诗和英文歌的节奏有关系吗

There are several different types of meter based on the various patterns of stressed and unstressed syllables(Fig 3) Trochee is the meter with stressed syllables followed by unstressed syllables. That is very similar to the music with a time signature of 2/4 (Fig 1) or 4/4(Fig 2). “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”is one of the best examples of this pattern.      Questions: Are you able to highlight the stressed syllables?   Homework: Write a poem including ripple,summer,light,grace etc words. You may post your homework as a main post.

How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,

Then the trav'ller in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often thro' my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.

'Tis your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the trav'ller in the dark:
Tho' I know not what you are,
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" is sung to the French melody "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman".

上次你在跟帖提到的这个节拍概念非常好,我就擅自拿来作为今天的主题了。正好是Meter主题的延续:)

把英文的每个音节当作汉字的一个字,就比较容易理解了。你再看看是anapest吗?

我觉得也不是Dactyl。就是最后一个音节拖了长拍,占了两拍。基本就是trochees,每行还是四足

也不完全一样,英文的一个音节也可以有两个甚至以上的音,只是单独辅音不算音节,汉字是绝对的单音

Concur. 所以把英文的一个音节理解成汉语的一个汉字有一定难度:)
