Business dispute usually does not include emotional damages. What you can ask for is $300 and cost of court, lost income for the day, parking etc.
Your trick is about suing the right party. Walgreen is a national company, usually they need to register at your state corporate commision as a foreign corporation with a "registered agent". You need to serve paper to this "registered agent" in order to make them appear in court. Make sure you find out where to serve the paper.
As a follow up, we found out that the gift card was not activated. Either the cashier at the Target store it was purchased at did not activate it, or there was some failure in the activation once the card was scanned for activation. Target refunded the amount of the gift card purchase to the purchaser using their debit card without the receipt.

1/30/2020（昨晚上），我收到我信用卡公司邮件，说这卡可以用，我这月帐单要付300。
昨晚上，给Walgreens 电邮，让他们退款300回我信用卡上。今天收到回邮： 不能退！
刚才打电话去： 让他们退！11/05/2019 买卡，1/09/2020 才说卡里有钱，这到那儿都说不过去的。
心里好生气，为这事，电话，电邮无数。
我现在不敢用卡，万一这二卡已经被取消了呢（我01/09/2020 回邮）？

在广大网友的群策群力下， 我做了功课， 问题算解决了 （还是委屈我自己了， 因为我买的时候要花。 过了那段时间， 我已经该买的买了， 现在那钱， 我只能瞎买了）。
过程：

去年我换电话公司，原来账上的钱用debt card形式还给我，今天看见你这个贴去查balance，已经是invalid card number。真不喜欢钱在卡里的方式，总得惦记着。

当我知道100 和 200 里面没有钱后， 我opened case in Walgreens on 11/07/2019.
因为我要提供文件， 我怕暴露code， 在电邮里， 我就照了100美元那个code照片，同时我解释， 我保留200美刀卡的code 照片。 对方给ebay客服电话， 告知我100 美刀的code， ebay 说， 这个code卡， 没有activate。
这和上面对上了吧！
好啦， 昨天晚上， 我就放进我 100 美刀 的卡的code， 跳出来的是300.
我从这儿认证， 是ebay那儿将这300 送一张卡了， 如图3.
作为我， 我不会去试 200 那张卡了， 因为那个卡应该还是 inactive。

这个听起来是对的，礼品卡不是商品，我记起以前看见有小孩挑好看的拿走，我一直以为没有充值，现在想来，应该是有值但没有active不能用。
