I write, therefore I am. I own my writing, and I am writing about spring. That means I also own spring. Spring is here to stay because I say so and because I am free to say so. And I say, freedom is spring, and vice versa. See, with a single stroke of my pen, freedom no longer freezes in winter, no longer burns out in summer, and no longer wilts in autumn. Freedom will be growing in spring, and spring will be growing in freedom, perennially. Wait. My fiancee is still in summer. She is hot. Here she comes, taking a long stride back from summer. Together now, we are both breathing spring. Spring is in the air. Yes, we are wearing masks. So what?
LY: “When watching flowers fall and drift in the wind, a traditional Chinese would wonder if life is but a dream. This doesn’t happen to a Westernized Chinese, not to mention a Westerner. Chinese tradition is a Chinese dream, poetically speaking.“
LY’s Fiancée: “Honey, you are a Westerner through and through, are you not?”
