当然，其实是不太一样的，一个是 steal someone's thunder 做自己的事情但抢了别人的风头，另外一个 step on someone's toe 是（抢）做了别人的职责或权力范围内的事而冒犯别人。共同点是都让别人不高兴。
Step on someone's toe: to insult, offend or upset someone by encroaching on their area of responsibility. （侵入他人的职权/职责范围而）冒犯他人。
我是看了最近Netflix的热剧Emily in Paris了解到的。
