It really depends on what you want to get from a job
Federel employees could be anything from the President of U.S to a janitor of a building.
It could give you a wide range of salaries. Of course you can't expect to strike rich like Elon Musk, I doubt it.
It's a good job if you value stability and security and you don't want to seek adventures in a job.
To me, a job is a job, I'm not doing a job for my maintaining my own ego or self-esteem. I want something relatively easy and pays well. i.e. something that I can handle without too much stress and good enough for a middle class living, for example, be able to pay for two cars, three children, mortgage/ property tax for the four bedroom house. Pension takes patience.
If your expecatations are set right and being met in a job , it's a good job for you. Otherwise, you should look elsewhere.
10 x 1.1% x (average of last three years salary) = 11% x 165000 = 18150.
