Dylan Groenewegen其实也付出了惨重的代价，他锁骨骨折，但是最严重的是被UCI禁赛9个月。他公开道歉，说这是自己一生中要背负的污点，他那时候的东家visma也被迫道歉，第二年年底复赛后他被迫转队。现在他的队伍Jayco也是时时刻刻要被降级的队伍。他的冠军，对他自己，对整个队伍都至关重要。
