If you have awakened, if you can look beyond this egoic
thought/mind oriented unconscious self, and discover the real self, the underlying consciousness/beingness, you will realize that Fuz is not gone, he is part of the universe, forever here.
According to the CDC, your risk of lung cancer decreases by half within 10–15 years of quitting smoking. However, a 2022 JAMA Oncology study found that former smokers with a history of 20 or more pack-years who quit smoking 15 or more years ago had a 10 times higher risk of lung cancer than non-smokers. The study also found that 40% of lung cancers occurred in former smokers who had quit for more than 15 years.
According to Hopkins Medicine, former smokers still have a higher risk of cancer than non-smokers, but their risk is lower than current smokers. They recommend that heavy former smokers, especially those who started smoking at a young age or smoked for a long time, get annual lung cancer screenings for at least 15 years.
