• Personal beaker 15 cl minimum (bottles or flasks with lids are not accepted).

• 2 headlamps in good working order for X-Alpine (with a spare battery for each)
Recommendation: 200 lumens or more for the main torch.
• Survival blanket of 1.40m x 2m minimum.
• Whistle.
• Self-adhesive elasticated bandage which can serve as a bandage or strapping (minimum 100 cm x 6 cm).
• Food reserve. Recommendation: 800kcal (2 gels + 2 energizing bars each of 65g ).
• Jacket with hood which will withstand bad weather in the mountains and made with a waterproof* and breathable** membrane (see description at the end of the chapter)
• Cap or bandana
• Additional warm second layer : a warm second layer top with long sleeves of a weight of a minimum of 150g (men's size medium (M))
OR the combination of a warm long sleeved underwear (first or second layer) of a minimum weight of 110g (men's size medium (M)) and a durable water repellant windproof jacket*.
• Waterproof over-trousers
• Identity card
If you choose to take poles with you, you must carry them throughout the whole race. It’s forbidden to start without poles and take some afterwards.
B) Cold Kit: (for every race)
• Long-legged trousers or race leggings OR a combination of legging and socks which cover the legs completely
• One pair of warm gloves
• A long sleeved hotter sweater instead of the 150g sweater.

C) Other recommended equipment (non-exhaustive list)
• Spare warm clothing, indispensable in the case of cold or wet weather or in the case of injury.
• Poles in the case of rain or snow for your security on slippery ground.

Race officials are entitled to check your backpack at any time during the race.

the jacket must not have sections of fabric which are not waterproof, but air vents fitted by the manufacturer (under-arm, in the back), since they do not damage in any obvious way the impermeability, are accepted.
It is the runner's responsibility to judge, with these criteria , if their jacket fits the regulations stated and so bad weather in the mountains, but, during a check, the judgment is made by the person in charge of the check or the steward.
多朗峰(Mont Dolent),位于西阿尔卑斯山脉, 距离“长白山”(白朗峰,Mont Blanc)只有10英里。这里是三个国家的分界点。山的南麓是意大利,北面的西侧是法国,东侧是瑞士。美丽,壮观,爽心,悦目。
多朗峰东面的山脚,是个叫 La Fouly的瑞士小村庄。明天这里将有一场UTMB的系列赛“瑞士Verbier 100”。这是最早加入UTMB的系列赛,其实是得天独厚,因为其赛道就是UTMB的一部分(就像美国的“峡谷100”的赛道,也是“西部100”的一部分)。
Verbier100,虽然说是100,但实际距离并不到100英里。这不奇怪,越野超马和马拉松不同,马拉松要求距离验证(Certified),必须准确的26.21875英里;而超马因为是越野,距离大多并非精确的和名字上一致。很多是102英里,101.6英里,也可能是99.3英里。道路漫长,而且复杂,经常随着地貌,雨水,雪况,交通等原因随时改变。所以我们通常叫做“级别”,比如 100M级别,100K级别等。也经常看到 YMMV 和 YKMV 这两个术语。全称是 Your Mileage (Kilometerage) May Vary。不过Verbier100 的距离少得多了一些,100M是86.9英里,100K是76公里,50K是42公里,而20K却是26公里,。。。
但是,Verbier100的难度却是相当厉害的。爬升非常的大,100M(86.9英里)是30,511尺,100K(76公里)是 17,388尺。我感觉,路面状况和美国西部100比也更加的Technical,雪山更多,很多怪石林立。因为地势在山峰之间,天气状况也经常捉摸不定。时而,蓝天白云绿草遍地,时而,狂风暴雨满地泥泞。
Verbier 100 是瑞士的比赛,赛道基本上都在瑞士境内,只是在南边有一小段经过意大利一下,不到法国。100M的比赛最早开始,起点就在终点的Verbier。100K的比赛晚出发半天,是从La Fouly出发,终点都在Verbier。这个系列赛还是很有挑战性的。因为 Verbier在“山的那边”,快结束的时候,要爬一座“大墙”,短短3.6英里的距离,要爬4000尺。这个坡度,几乎是 Mission Peak的两倍。然后你就下山,直冲到终点。曾经有个中国选手,不熟悉赛道,经过千难万苦到达了山顶,离关门时间只有(还有)1小时。他力竭而退赛,当场躺下,躺了2个小时。然后他等收容车(Shuttle Bus) 来接他。结果人家说,就7公里的下山路,你走走就下去了。他气得跳脚,干嘛退赛呀,后悔不已。
瑞士的风光是美丽的,尤其这种山上的景色。因为这个,吸引了无数人来爬山,来参加这个比赛。有时,跑步速度倒不是主要的目的,最享受的,还是来体验那种神话般的仙境。世界很大,我们应该亲自到各地好好看看。
