看简班提到徐志摩的偶然，我以前读到过小谢的一个帖子，是翻译墨西哥诗人Octavio Paz的诗《Concert in the Garden》, 我的感觉是有《偶然》的影子，还贴了首齐秦演唱的《偶然》的YouTube。再允许我贴个旧帖哈：）一直没有得到过原玉小谢的评论（仔细又看了下，原来最初来自影云），所以也希望能看到他们的想法:-）
"the garden which is the wanderer and his or her wandering through all that he lusts and fears to encounter, the unknown, the beyond, the wholly other, the wild, and which mysteriously at the same time is the body, stability, a place to be, a home. That is, the beauty of the garden is not the static form of its appearance, but this plus the action to make it, the knowledge that it grows and decays and must be renewed in concert with nature, and the realization that even within it there are paths we must wander and will sometimes be lost on, seeking. "
"It is a human beauty, part of a human garden, one that we carry within and manifest in poems. 2 “There are no more gardens than those we carry within,” say Octavio Paz. This garden of course is a garden tradition, a series of gardens, or series of attempts at the garden. It is compacted of natural growth and renewal, architectural beauty of the cemetery manifesting human genius, decay, simple pleasure in the spring, sadness and horror and despair at death, longing and struggle. It is hard to define, in fact, as beauty. It seems to lead toward a definition of beauty almost as tragedy, almost as frustration and defeat and annihilation. And yet, unremitting responsiveness to these is its comprehensive and particular element."

我这两天把能找到的有关Octavio Paz和这首诗的网上的材料读了个遍。开始我真觉得这首诗味同嚼蜡，怎么也不理解garden, concert, body, wind, earth的含义，其实现在可能也不算理解。舞蹈是视觉的艺术，音乐是听觉的艺术，美食是味觉的艺术，诗歌是感觉的艺术，可意会不可言传就是诗的魅力所在之一吧。就象红楼梦，每个人心中都有自己的一部红楼。Gardens 时常出现在Paz的作品当中，以下两段对Paz的解读结合阅读Paz的生平和写作特点给了我一些启迪：

因此，我还是认为这首诗与饮食男女有关，而且与其把它与海子的那首诗相提并论，我更觉得它与徐志摩的《偶然》有几分相似。我试着以我的理解意译如下：
《CONCERT IN THE GARDEN》

It rained.
The hour is an immense eye.
Inside it, we come and go like reflections.
The river of music
enters my blood.
If I say body, it answers wind.
If I say earth, it answers where?
The world, a double blossom, opens:
sadness of having come,
joy of being here.
I walk lost in my own center.

已驻
时光无垠的视野里
有人来人往
音乐如溪流
在血管里奔淌
同我的脉搏
一和一唱
它以清风
响应我热情之躯
紧紧追随我
回归的渴望
你我的世界

更更更偶然
深情，却有深意，偶然相遇，不一定会是必然相守，错过就错过，不强求，不为难，有一种两个精神独立的人相忘于江湖的洒脱。。。
非常灵动，是一个独处的人的自足的内心世界的表达。
所以当我反复读的时候，总觉得它有一种魔力，让我欲罢不能的感觉，很奇怪。
我前两天在微信上听人聊起《读你》和《请跟我来》这两首歌，我一直以为是爱情歌曲，实际上它们更像是圣歌，因为作者是基督徒。所以，没有什么是一定的，各取所需吧：）
My interpretation (or just a rather sensible but unnecessary chain of logic that links together the images in the poem ):
Garden: the world that we fill with human experiences
Eye: our vision of the world.
Reflections: 空，"夢幻泡影"
Music, wind, earth...: Joy, 五蕴(皆空)
The world, a double blossom, opens:
sadness of having come,
joy of being here.
: Duality of the nature of the world as manifested in the nature of humans.
The last line can suggest the ego. Being "lost" in it can be enlightenment (free from it) or falling prey to it. "Center" is very suggestive.
This poem just seems larger than merely about romance.
海子的那首由大處一筆寫盡，很天才，像頓悟。帕斯這首從小處的感受寫，滙聚出整体的意义，很精妙。
個見。
尤其喜歡有些句子轉化成中文時特别自然，譬如:时光无垠的视野里
有些句子譯時則對原句的詞義作了很大取捨？
这样的诗直译比较不知所云，当然太主观的曲解也是一样。真是只可意会不可言传的一首诗。
body, earth，garden, 我觉得都是像你所说的, 都有食色的成分：）
聊宝译的好。如果不说明，还以为就是用汉语写的呢。
