Columbia College (CC) has a financial econ major in the econ eept and a math-statistics major in the math dept. According to some sources, these two hybrid majors have well-balanced course designs that provide a solid academic foundation for Ph.D. studies in econ, finance or statistics and desirable analytical training for industry careers in banking, finance or trading. The econ dept boasts another hybrid major in math-econ. CC also has a computer science dept which offers four popular tracks for CS majors.
CC students can choose any courses from these departments and others regardless of their declared majors. Columbia students from our town all seem to be highly competitive - comparable to those at T5 - in securing much coveted summer internships and job offers.

男娃，申请的是math 和econ double，打算按计划选两边的课，不管学校是不是授予double。

Columbia更象金融。至于找工作和Intern没什么区别，新生毕业都是被用来做slave的。
样就可以避开IB Analyst的苦日子，走对冲基金的路子而不是IB/PE的路子，到花街的路又多了一个option。
比较ad hoc，不像投行那样regimented，适合学徒制的训练。
