最近在找工作,上周五面试了第二轮,仍然是电话面试,对方是直接的经理,面试时间预定半小时,面试一开始,经理就直接说他之后还有会,所以面试会准时停下。面试过程中跟经理交谈感觉还可以,我之前也准备了比较多, 还准备了一个小presentation说明我的背景和value,但是我当时没有控制好节奏,只顾着说明我大方向上如何FIT,没有给出具体的例子,也就是说没有把我在以前工作中的成绩详细举例说明 -- 虽然在presentation中有提到。面试结束时,经理说“it was a great pleasure speaking with you... I will ask XXX(HR manager) to circle back with you..."。 面试过后我写了感谢信。因为当时第一轮与HR面试结束,我当天下午就得到通知让我进入第二轮。 现在三天了还没有任何消息,心里非常忐忑,这个机会可以说是DREAM JOB, 所以格外焦虑。我仔细回想面试的过程,觉得最大的遗憾就是没有详细举例,说明自己的工作成绩,我很想通过Linkedin(在面试前,我有跟这个经理建立Connect)给他再发个信息,说明自己对这份工作非常有兴趣,希望能再约个时间细谈一下我的工作成绩,以及经历如何FIT IN。 这样做好吗? 还是已经太迟了,有什么其它办法,请大家给些意见和建议。谢谢!

He already told you the ball is back at HR. You don't want to look too eager by forcing him to revisit what he has already finished. You would be telling him that you have doubt about your performance at the interview. What do you want him to think about his judgment?
Your attitude should be: I did my best at that moment. I'm fully responsible for my part of that exchange, good and bad. Let the chips fall wherever they may. Your (future) boss will appreciate the way you shoulder the burden.
It takes time for HR to put everything together, especially now.
(The 2nd interview was scheduled the next day was because the first interviewer was told by the 2nd interviewer to go ahead.)
How should the "circle back" statement be interpreted? If he said it only in order not to be bothered further by LZ, then she should be concerned.
Maybe LZ can contact him not to explain further what she has accomplished in the past, but state something about what she will do for the company, such as an upcoming project he mentioned during the interview.

It usually takes more than a week. Bigger companies take weeks. A "yes" takes much longer than a "no" to come back.

作为hiring manager,在基本确认了候选人具备职位要求的能力后,不是选择能力最好的,而更多的是选择谁是最适合的,这包括考察候选人的动力,和他的职业发展方向与公司的要求和公司可以提供的机会能否契合,他的个人风格是否和公司文化及团队氛围是否相适应。
如果您能够通过LinkedIn或邮件,把您的qualification符合职位的要求再总结一下发给hiring manager,可以让他#1加深对您的印象,#2感到您对此职位的重视表现出您的动力,#3提醒他您对答复的期待,应该只会有利至少不会有害。唯一可能的是,如果您是此职位的非常有力的候选人,而他也非常想要您的时候,您最后negotiation的时候可能让他感到您的急切。但如您所描述的,应该还没到那个程度。
作为一个销售出身的职业经理人和曾经的求职者,我相信要拿到“订单”就要尽一切努力,只要“客户”还没有把“订单”给别人,您就有机会。

我前段时间有个朋友,叫我做他的reference,我说可以的,但是不能保证就能做好。那个朋友也面试过了,面试经理也没找我做reference。几天后,那个朋友给我打电话说,那个职位又posted出来了,他问我是否可以跟那个经理再联系,说说自己对此岗位很有兴趣,也肯定能做好。我跟他讲,打不打电话,在你的决定范围之内,录不录用你是他的权力。打电话对你只会有好处,不会有更坏的结果,到能显示出你的主动性来。所以做你能控制的了的。这个建议也是用你,跟他联系,显示出你的主动性来。注意不要给他造成骚扰的感觉就好。
谢谢各位的建议以及意见,非常感激。4/10面试,到现在还没有任何消息,我昨天LINKEDIN发消息给经理再简单写了一下自己的想法,目前还是没有任何回信。现在看上去没太多希望,需要MOVE ON。 安慰自己说找工作也是缘分。
