I am crying guys I don’t know what to do, Columbia was my top choice and no other school even comes close! I was ready for a deferral but a rejection??? Several people at my school have gotten offers, including a couple recruited athletes who knew even before today (usually we have no recruited athletes), so I think they decided they can’t take any more. I thought my legacy connection would be enough to overcome the AZN factor, I guess not… my sister says it has gotten crazy more competitive since she went there 14 years ago!!!
My son was deferred by Columbia and was very upset during RD application. On Ivy Day, he opend the e-mail from Columbia first becasue he knew his chace of getting accepted is low and he was afraid to open e-mails from Cornell and U. Penn in case he got rejected by both schools. Instead of first joy, we were actually confuded as we heard the music of Welcome from Coumbia's e-mail....
His stat was not as good as you and he never enterd any State competition. Just continue to work on your RD application. Applicaiton process is also a self-discovering journey. Good luck!

Rank:1 out of 600, Aime, 很多商科竞赛奖, research, all state, highly selective summer camp, club president.

AOs want to picture you through your essay, not anyone else.
Not sure if the one could get admitted to UTA, and even Texas A&M in TX
