P.S. 昨天，情人节的晚上我即兴写了这首小诗，本来只想留给自己，今天早上无意中看见唱坛的大歌星康妮（ConnieTT）翻唱了孟庭苇的歌《没有情人的情人节》，我才知道还有这样一首同名歌曲，实在是太巧合了。尽管我的诗和孟庭苇的歌所表达的主题不同，但二者之间还是有一些共鸣之处，所以一起分享给大家。

翻译 better half 的时候，不需要把“better”译出来，因为 better half 的含义是：

It's a person's husband, wife, or usual sexual partner.

It is not necessarily better than the other half :)

明白了。中英文语义的default有细微的区别。

中英文互译的时候，有时候需要把直译和意译结合起来，才能准确表达内在含义。谢谢居士点评，祝居士新春快乐，龙年吉祥如意！

deeper than the love between the lovers we usually

talk about.

Perhaps I subconsciously can feel that my better half is the

best Valentine after all,

and I don't want to lose him because of someone else. :)
