British and American English

In high-school, the English teacher used to admonish me for using British spelling for certain words.

Americans should feel very comfortable in England

There are several accents in different areas of England. But after all it is the same language. I feel very easy to communicate with Brits. I don't feel language barrier at all. 

I had a hard time understanding Scottish accent.

I feel more comfortable with American accent.
