RATG13病毒株，石研究员最开始只是笼统地说是2013年在云南山洞蝙蝠的粪便中分离出来的，但是不知道为什么七年来却一直没有公布这一基因顺序，这有些不合常规。我看到的一种说法是在美国几位中国籍病毒研究同行们的强烈要求下，石研究员才于 2020年1月27日向基因库递交基因顺序；我看到的另外一种说法，是蝙蝠的粪便是他们2013年在云南山洞收集的，但是研究室把它遗忘了，放到了一边，直到今次爆发才拿出来做基因顺序分析，这好像也不靠谱。
