I hope you place yourself in a proper position when you are making any comments. You are NOT the "commander in chief of the US military." And for the current one in that position, I'd doubt his ability to do that - simply by looking at those who are openly disobeying/undermining him.
In business, there are elements with intagible value - such as trademark, brand recognition, public goodwills. For US and its military/political establishment, these intangible elements (perceived powerfulness) has great importance to its empire and its existance. Any loss suffered in those symbols will likely be the fall of the first domino, with unimaginable consequences to follow and the pending implosion of an empire is NO trivial matter.
