After installed water softner then my front, back yard water faucents fronzen and need replaced. The main thing water stays in the piple when you do the winterize. You should be able to find a way how to clean the water out.

至于吃的水，房客可以自己花钱装一个under sink的water filter system 去除有害物质以及金属。
我自住房都是用的这个办法，以前是用软水器，每个月都要加盐，造成房子周围的土壤含盐高，很不环保
