New York Wealth Planning Group is a seasoned wealth planning company, specializing in insurance, real estate, and other financial services. To facilitate the rapid growth of our real estate portfolio, we are looking for a self-directed, motivated, and organized Property Manager and Leasing Specialist. Candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, leasing and preparation of turnover units, managing resident relations, and coordinating work orders with the maintenance team. Candidates may also be involved in other parts of our operations, including our health insurance program, customer relations, etc. Responsibilities: Manage resident relations and routinely communicate with tenants regarding maintenance, billing, and leasing Routinely update property advertisements on various leasing platforms and communicate with prospective tenants Professionally tour prospective residents through the properties Facilitate the screening and qualifying process of prospective tenants Prepare leases and coordinate collections of security deposits and first-month rental payments for incoming tenants Visually inspect properties to ensure cleanliness and report service needs to the management team Establish rapport with building tenants and staff to allow for a sense of community Monitor utility usage and fee collection, lease renewals, and maintenance work Collaborate with the property management team and provide routine, timely updates on property availabilities and maintenance Assist with tasks in health insurance, customer relations, and other company operations as needed
Qualifications: Previous experience in property leasing or management is a plus. Highly organized, with the ability to multitask A self-starter and team player with the ability to work autonomously Must have the ability to work and thrive in a fast pace working environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Crisis management skills Familiarity with the Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs) Strong project and time management skills
