Nexium was a scam. When the Prilosec patent was set to expire, Pfizer just changed a few molecules and called it Nexium in order to rip people off. At the same dosage, they are almost the same. Personally, I find Prilosec much more effective and lots of people said the same thing (haven't heard of anyone said Nexium is more effective than Prilosec). With either Prilosec or Nexium, if you are not taking it on a daily basis, you must take it upon first sign of discomfort otherwise it won't be effective. When you are feeling pain, it's too late.
