Web Developer(Remote) This high-profile role is tasked with the support and coordination of Fitgenetix's Web efforts. Aside from monitoring the existing website activities, you will be expected to provide ongoing support for Fitgenetix applications. We are looking for a junior level web developer with experience in WordPress. Due to COVID-19 crisis the majority of work will be remotely and through video conferences. Job Description： Fitgenetix is currently seeking a Wordpress/Web Development intern as well as a Web App Developer & Design Intern to join our technology and design departments. We are looking for self-starters who are passionate about cutting edge developments in health and fitness, web development, and entrepreneurship. Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience building web pages and has used Wordpress extensively. This position will work with the technology team to manage the website and play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our online presence. Our intern will learn the ins and outs of Wordpress plug-ins, Google Analytics, AWS, SEO, and Visual Composer page design and become adept at managing e-commerce and high-traffic web portals. You will work under the supervision of a senior web developer, but the role will be mainly independent and requires the interns to take ownership of their projects. Responsibilities： A web designer's job duties cover all aspects of creating a website. Upon meeting with the operations department and assessing their needs, web designers help create and maintain the product. Their duties include, but aren't limited to, the following: Writing and editing content Designing webpage layout Determining technical requirements Updating websites Creating backup files
Experience and Qualifications： Hands on working experience with WordPress theme development Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects) Experience with coding languages, including MySQL, PHP, Javascript (including jQuery), RESTful APIs (JSON, XML, etc.), HTML5, and CSS (including SASS and CSS3) Experience working with WooCommerse, Gravity Forms, MailChimp, Yoast SEO, and similar WordPress plugins are preferred; Technical SEO experience is a plus; Ability to thrive in a remote work setting, communicate clearly and effectively
