Intervention’s Bitter Fruits

Biden's credibility and the vision of our elites have been crushed by their humiliation in Kabul.

The reality is that pretty much everything described in this article was
inevitable when we went got into the "nation-building" business. Because
true nation-building requires massive resources, and we weren't willing to
spend what was required. And nation-building doesn't really have an exit
plan, which is an essential part of any intervention. Not all that different from the British experience in Afghanistan, the U.S. experience in Vietnam, etc. It's unfortunate that Pat seems to bemoan the future unwillingness on our part to do nation building-such a mission was doomed from the start in
Afghanistan, and just showed whey we should generally avoid committing our
resources in that direction.

If there is one positive thing coming out of the Afghanistan, it's that we
should fight wars as wars, not as occupations with non-war goals such as
changing societies. And that when we do go to war, we should do so with
realistic objectives and exit strategies, rather than ever-changing
justifications. But this may require Congress to do its job, and in the
current environment it seems like our congressmen will do anything they can to avoid being perceived as responsible for national security.

Perhaps US policy makers ought to scratch "nation building" off their to-do list. The Uni-Party in DC has failed miserably at "fixing" other countries, while ignoring the problems and issues plaguing the United States.

You know what’s funny? The DC clown car believes that the world as well as it’s domestic subjects breathlessly awaits it’s next retarded plan,
program, or utterance.

Blaming Biden is a great way to avoid having to face the reality of decades of US failures.

How many deaths and broken families? How much money diverted from helping
the American people? How much corruption creeping into our institutions? For what? So that those in power can continue to enrich themselves and protect their privilege.

We won't learn anything and nothing will change. But hey, good way to score some "own the libs" points. Good luck in getting the high score!

Buchanan: End this war. Bring our troops home.

Biden: Okay.

Buchanan: Biden’s a loser. He lost the war!
