There are some older flight attendants that will use the coffee maker to wash their pantyhose. They use the coffee pot, put their pantyhose in there, and then run the coffee maker so that the hot water fills the pot, cleaning their pantyhose. I don’t know why someone would ever put their dirty pantyhose in the thing that people use to make their coffee, but there is a school of flight attendants who do! Nowadays, most hotel room coffee makers are the single cup ones that don’t have the coffee pot, so that’s good. But, if you’re ever in a hotel room with a coffee maker that has a coffee pot, you may want to think twice about making a cup!
