Jan. 30, 2020 at 1:04 p.m. PST Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the Chinese coronavirus — which has killed 171 in China and infected more than 8,100 people — could “help” to bring jobs to the United States because companies will be moving operations away from impacted areas.
During an appearance Thursday morning on Fox Business, Ross said that he didn’t “want to talk about a victory lap over a very unfortunate, very malignant disease,” and expressed sympathy for the victims. But he said the pneumonia-like virus would be a consideration for American businesses that are scrambling to determine how the outbreak will affect their supply chains. He pointed to the 2003 SARS epidemic, the “African swine virus” and now coronavirus as “another risk factor that people need to take into account. ”
What a harmful and undiplomatic statement which served no purpose other than to antagonize. Sometimes keeping your stray and unorganized thoughts to yourself is the best course of action.

Another normal day. US officials cannot stop praising themselves enough while bashing everyone else. People commenting that the entire supply-chain for the US is broken when anybody with an internet connection can verify that container ships are no longer crossing the Pacific while traffic between China - Europe is flowing normally.
To me it seems as if this so called trade war between the US and China has escalated. China most probably understands what kind of attack they've come under and it is high time for the rogue shadow groups in the US and elsewhere to reflect on what the f they were thinking. China just flipped the script on this and how the US will fare from this is anybody's guess. When large retail chains have to close up due to nonexistent deliveries I guess Trump can tweet how great everything will be once US manufacturing returns sometime in the future.
