闭关修炼 social distancing 两个星期，出来发现到处都在搞response to COVID-19 。虽然从没有称职地当过版主，但是困难当头，出台一个本版的COVID-19应急响应也属责无旁贷。更何况，病毒威胁下的social distancing, shelter in place, is physical, not mental。所以本响应措施就是让同学们从mentally social distancing or sheltering in place里走出来，或者爬出来（取决于当前姿势）。
Do you know what I heard the most in the past three weeks? From my family and friends. PLEASE pay attention to cover yourself up when you work. You have to be covered from head to toe, like what Chinese health workers did in Wuhan.
Okay. I get it. I got it, from day one. Only IF we have the PPEs like Chinese health care workers have. From head to toe, one one layer, two and a half layers. We do not need our families and friends to tell us how important it is.
We only need to HAVE it. That’s it. It is as simple as that.
If we show up in our own Tyvek that we bought or friends donated, guess what, we will be suspended to work immediately.
Isn't that beautiful???
I want to show up in Tyvek. Those Tyvek I bought 3 weeks ago. Many of my coworkers bought them at the beginning of this. However, we cannot wear it. That is why there are over 700 healthcare workers in this state are infected. And the hospital administration states, they got it from community transmission. Not at work. We are at work. Or locking ourselves up at home. How did we get it from community transmission?
Guess what we can do? We can wear those Tyvek suits to the Halloween party this year. IF we are lucky enough!
When we are down, maybe some of the people enjoying their beach time, dinner reunion time, or even home time will be down.

群众关心的重要问题之一是疫情持续的时间。三个月，半年，甚至一年以上的说法都有。预测究竟会多久意义并不大，但是这三种不同的可能，却会对方方面面造成不同程度的影响。想请大家参与讨论，从各自角度出发对生活，习惯，工作，学习，等个人经历的思考，然后从整体出发考虑三种不同疫情持续时间对社会，政治，经济，国家，地球的改变。

来信收到了，谢谢关心。
疫情发展凶险严重。在医院里，住院病人中其他各种情况骤减，新冠剧增，很多进ICU
。有来急诊就插管上呼吸机。轻症出院回家，重症入院，就导致入院病人中ICU比例渐
高。但全住院住不下。可能各地都应该建立方舱医院。院内医护感染渐增。不光是防护用品问题，还有些其他问题。医护都是血肉之躯，毕竟不是钢铁战士。
我自己会尽量小心。就像你说的，上班好好防护，下班好好休息。除此之外，又能如何？我目前情况暂时还好，但我最担心自己得病会传染老公、父母和孩子们。我在家早已自我隔离。出去住，我又暂时做不到。虽然有同事这么做了。能隔着门听听孩子们吵架的声音也是好的。我忍受不了一个人在旅馆。我也怕旅馆空调系统会传染他人，增加心理负担。家里又有亲朋好友寄来的口罩等物，搬不去旅馆。但我又怕自己将来后悔。无论我自己如何，我最怕感染孩子们和老人。也怕感染我家那位，总希望有一个大人健康。所以我很矛盾。我只能尽量严格地自我隔离，尽量不见他们的面。
你们要好好的。尽量take care自己。祝大家每一个人都能健康平安。

I'm repeating myself - 提醒大家出门回来后，如果不介意汗帻，可以将衣物先高热
烘干半小时，再进洗衣机。高温浴场有传播病例。病毒可以耐高温湿热环境，不耐高温干燥环境。需要65摄氏度以上，干燥环境。
请别误会。此处姐为敬称，不是指年纪。可能是妹。脑子一时没反应过来。
我看病毒也可以被淹死， 同时被洗衣液泡20分钟， 肯定也活不成。
是的你说的对。消毒液加热水也可以。湿润环境有一定风险，洗衣机边框局部也许有低温无消毒液浸泡的区域。
其实衣物风险实在不高。除非情况恶化，医护人员PPE盖不到的地方、非负压病房、同
时患者又对着打喷嚏、插管等操作的情况。目前还没有，但愿不会更恶化。普通人出门买菜离人三丈远，更是不用如此。这些都是为了保持心理健康降低焦虑所作的努力:-)
现在信息爆炸，分享信息成了一件有点难度的事。科研人员、医护与其他人经常就一些事产生激烈辩论。群体焦虑度增高。我家那位半夜转发帖子问我，卡介苗接种是否与亚洲地区被控制有关。confounding factor，谁能断言？非要不去看最强有力的政府强制蹲家里出门被逮捕这一因素，然后说是因为什么第二原因，然后说中国政府隐瞒数据，而且还有很多人相信。群体性失明。
其实关于回家衣物如何处理，都是焦虑导致。除非患者在非负压病房对着医护的裸露衣物打喷嚏，衣物到底能有什么风险？医护人员怕感染家人，心理安慰这么做做，情有可原，真要追究科学道理就有点过度了。普通人出门买菜离人三丈远，更是不用如此。这些都是大家为了保持心理健康所作的努力:-)

正如巴老板谈论宠物时引用的那句话一样，有些事没有亲身经历是无法判断的。就算亲身经历了，不同的人也是有不同的感受的。
下面就是不那么勇的小乐的心理活动了。“最近我真的有点烦。周六回去管新冠患者，其实这件事本身，没有那么烦。大部分人也都康复了。可是看着ICU里那些四五十岁的
人，想着自己可能成为其中的一个，会有些心烦意乱。然后就是孤独的问题。虽然已经有家人，还有很多的朋友，给我安慰和力量，有的甚至是从未妄想过会得到的意外的惊喜。但是还是觉得很孤独。也不能完全这么说，工作中还是会有一些同事与我是差不多的心境。再有就是，还是觉得自己老了。觉得难过。不知道生活什么时候能够回到从前，还能不能回到从前。很多人都说，我们去买菜都吓死，你真勇敢。病毒看不见摸不着，其实好像并不害怕，但又实际上很害怕。觉得孤独，恐惧，却又麻木。当然，我真的面对患者的时候，还是会尽量好好防护，同时会尽量尽到自己的责任。他们信任我，我就应该对得住这份信任。他们也很可怜，几天前还是我们。我们也可能会变成他们。所以我要克服恐惧，尽量给予他们我能做到的最好的care。祝福我们大家每一个人都能健康平安。”
