Hydroxychloroquine: Coronavirus disease 2019 off label use.
Note: Limited data avaiable. Dose based on one small,open-label,non- randomized study in hospitalized patients with coronavirus disease 2019; currently, there are no data to support use for prophylaxis.
Oral: 200mg 3 times a day for 10 days (Gautret 2020).
Adverse reaction: 1% to 10%: ophthalmic: retinopathy (4%; serum concentration dependent). Frequency not defined: abnormal hepatic function tests, acute hepatic failure, angioedema, corneal changes. Postmarketing: cardiomyopathy, prolonged QT interval on ECG, torsades de pointes, ventricular arrhythmia.
