As of this morning, there were 128,227 deaths in blue states and 95,721 in red states, per JHU data. (I did not include DC.) So the real picture is 蓝州贡献57%，红州43%. It is undeniable that there are more deaths from blue states. However, if you also consider the populations, then the overall death per million population from blue states is 720, and 640 from red states. Blue states are 12% worse than red states so far. However, given the fact that most of the nation's deaths occurred in blue states (NY and NJ) in March and April when it was cold and doctors were not experienced, it is too early to conclude which states are doing worse.
