peer压力非常大,怎么办呢?

入职公司8个月了,title是leader,不过不带项目不管人,相当于大公司的senior吧。今年的performance review是meet expectation,但我感觉我有以下几个问题,压力很大。

1. team年初从其他team调来一个很牛的,也是leader,老板说他是大team的top
performer,要我跟他学习,看他怎么做的

2. 我的communication不太好,打字慢,所以一般就不打字,有问题我都是直接说,有时候说不清楚,但基本还行

3. 开会的时候有时候听不懂,不能流利交流,这样我就少说话,但team里其他的
leader都是native speaker,另外有时候对任务理解有误,需要问team里的principle

4. 我的优势是后台java,react水平挺烂的,正在加紧学习,但是需要些时间才能得到java的水平吧

总的来说还是我的communication的问题,因为来美国的时候不小了,感觉是提不高了
。公司氛围比较nice,应该不会pip,但peer presure好大,怎么办呢?就这样混着,
看开点?有时候睡不着觉呀。

“打字慢,所以一般就不打字”这个令人拍案惊奇。
一开始我还以为,非码工,做到leader,不容易。
后面又说“优势是java"。
码工,打字不行,不仅能生存下来,还能做到leader,必定有其他过人之处。

Ignoring the problem is not a solution. It only makes the problem bigger. If you know your struggle, others will see it too. Nobody is dumb. It's just a time bomb.

I also understand your stress and communication issues. I think the most
practical step may be to develop some good personal relationship with many
peers, so that you feel more comfortable asking questions on & off team
meetings . A good team environment can help you learn better. If the culture is nice as you said, it shouldn't be hard to get to know each other and let others feel that you are a nice person that's not going to threaten them,
then they will be more open to help you understand and be more understanding if you ask clarifying questions in team meetings.

And also be candid in your 1:1 with your manager, so that he/she understands that you have good professional skills but a little challenged in
communications. Then he/she can understand and help you, instead of just
assume even your professional skills are weak.

Again, solve a problem. Don't run away from it. And seek help in the
solution.
