Giants HC McAdoo disapproves of Beckham's latest antics
Odell Beckham Jr. stole the show Sunday.
The eccentric New York Giants wide receiver went off for 222 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score in the dying minutes of the game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Beckham celebrated that final score by taking his helmet off after the touchdown - incurring a 15-yard penalty - and then mock proposing to a kicking net on the sidelines.
Giants head coach Ben McAdoo was asked about those antics Monday, and he was none too pleased.
"Can't have it. He knows it," McAdoo said at his press conference. "We need to keep the focus on the ballgame."
While he surely appreciated Beckham Jr.'s play on the field, the penalty could have contributed to a loss had the Ravens taken advantage of the additional 15 yards and scored in the final 1:20 of the game. The kicking net spots have spun off into a sideshow. Beckham raced away from teammates who were celebrating the score to continue his one-man storyline on the sidelines.
There's no question both scenes took the spotlight away from the Giants' come-from-behind victory.
