The University of North Texas Center for Human Identification (UNTCHI) is an accredited forensic laboratory which is globally recognized as a leader in forensic genetics. With funding support from the State of Texas and various Federal Government agencies, UNTCHI is a resource for international and national legal systems, provides forensic genetic and anthropological examinations for criminal casework and missing persons identification, and develops and manages of the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) for the US Department of Justice.
As the center is growing and expanding to genomics and associated omics research, we are actively looking for talented PhD level students and postdoctoral fellows interested in genomics, bioinformatics, or related fields.
