I am just a TTAP who happens to chair a search committee for our dept this year, and had been an member of the committee in the past few years.

我正好错过了去年的申请季。但是这两个月偶尔看到有学校还在发招人的广告。 点进
去发现，最开始的发布的日期是去年九月，没有截止日期，或者日期是明年。这种情况下直接申请，会被看材料吗？还是应该等待今年秋季的申请季？

其实估计好学校一半都是因人设岗的

这有两个前提:
1. 本地除了本校不产候选人
2. 教学为主，科研重要但相对没特色，所以招谁都行
其实美国4000所大学，还有很多很多非常不同的类型
比如有的新英格兰私校，基本只请那一片的候选人坐火车去面试
或者economics，好像是每年在JSM大会招聘
