To add to the confusion, a 9mm NATO round could also be a 9mm Parabellum and a 9mm Luger round as long as it wasn't loaded to the NATO maximum pressure. But generally 9mm rounds designated NATO tend to be a little hotter than normal 9mm.
CIP is predominantly the European standard and, among other differences, it measures pressure inside the casing itself. SAAMI is predominantly the US standard and it measures pressure inside the chamber.
