Position Summary
The Principle Power Amplifier Engineer will design and develop RF and microwave power amplifier products in the frequency range of 10 MHz to 8000 MHz . Manage and mentor design engineers in new designs. Improve existing designs for quality, production yields, facilitate and lead design reviews, etc.
Job Functions
Lead the advancement of Mini-Circuits high power amplifier technology in all technical aspects, including but not limited to: circuit topology, construction technology, manufacturing techniques to enable Mini-Circuits to offer a market competitive high power amplifier product line Work with product line management and product marketing to develop and implement product roadmaps for high power amplifier modules and sub-systems Design connectorized power amplifier modules and rack mounted sub-systems using various commercially available transistor and mmic devices (LDMOS, GaN, etc.) stripline/microstrip or other design techniques. Oversee the design, prototyping, engineering level build and qualification of high power amplifier modules and sub-systems of personal projects as well as subordinate’s projects Supervise senior engineers, design engineering, and junior engineering staff projects. Prepare complete model documentation for product release in accordance with Mini-Circuits ISO-9000 documentation requirements. Successfully support the transition new products into volume manufacturing Prepare application notes, technical articles and catalogue specifications for publications. Complete performance reviews as required and when required. Identify manpower staffing requirements. Development, growth, and promotion of members.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 15 years experience in designe or Masters Degree with 10 years experience. Proficient in AWR and ADS non-linear circuit simulators. Proficient in Axiem and HFSS electromagnetic modeling software. Experience using microwave test equipment. Experience with standard device characterization/de-embedding techniques. Proven ability to multi-task Proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
