Advanced Materials Discovery and Simulation Laboratory led by Prof. Ming Hu at Mechanical Engineering Department, University of South Carolina has one PhD student opening in the broad areas of artificial intelligence accelerated materials discovery.
Interested applications should send following documents by E-Mail: 1) a resume/CV with full publication list and contact information of references; 2) bachelor and master transcripts; 3) TOEFL (or IELTS) and GRE scores.
High priority will be given to those with strong background in atomistic simulations (classical molecular dynamics simulations or first-principles calculations) of energy transport in advanced materials. Students with a master’s degree in materials science or condensed matter physics are strongly encouraged to apply.
