Starting Friday, Amazon.com will not be collecting a single penny of sales tax for the State of California, but slamming the State with a loss of $152 million in income tax revenues from its 25,000+ California affiliates all of which will be terminated on Friday when this law goes into effect which will cost the State around $2 billion in lost business revenues to those affiliates. Amazon's scores of millions of Customers in the State of California will be delighted with this smart move by Amazon and will give it more business than ever, but it is a tremendous shame for all of those affiliates that will now lose 100% of their incomes as a result of this ill-advised and frankly quite stupid move by the State of California to to attack Amazon.com.
