there are living expenses, transportation, herbal medicine, food, etc, etc.

我记得四月份的时候他就跑来跟我说自己生病了，刚确诊得了鼻咽癌，不能来上我的课了。当时我挺吃惊的，也挺惋惜的。年轻轻的就得了这个病。但看他的表情，很乐观，仿佛在讲述别人的事情一样。后来四月底五月初的时候，他来学校又碰到了他，问他的情况。他说他的治疗挺好的。估计几个月后疗程就应该能结束了吧。可是没想到在电视上看到了他的情况。而且好像非常严重，说已经神智不清了，不能说话，也不能写字。 希望奇迹发生吧！！！！
大家都来帮帮他吧，实在是太可怜了！！！

我不是非常清楚他的情况。不过我估计他没有医疗保险。4月份的时候我就问他为啥不回国治疗。回国会便宜些。他回答说他们家人都觉得美国医疗水平好些，想留在这边治疗。然后他说去的医院给他申请了什么红卡。说可以给他治疗打折，我也不知道这红卡是什么东西。他说一开始他去法拉盛看医生，医生建议他去做CT，CT的价格要400，后来他去了那个医院，打了折之后收了他15块CT的费用。所以我想他住院什么的，虽然不用付全额。可是还是要付些医疗住院费用的吧。况且他妈妈现在要照顾他，肯定不能打工了，这些支出还有生活费用应该还是很大的。
