A student who exceeds the period of unemployment while on post-completion OPT has violated his or her status unless he or she has taken one of the following actions:
* Applied to continue his or her education by a change of level or transferring to another SEVP-certified school * Departed the United States * Taken action to otherwise maintain legal status
上面第一点的意思是不是就是如果申请了就可以啊？它也没说一定要被录取才行啊，是不是这么理解啊？
那我现在是不是就硬着头皮去试试转F2啊？是不是把1月前申请学校的email打印出来一起寄过去？
advisor还说我最好写个statement说明一下为啥要转成F2，我搜了半天也没找到怎么写。。大家都是写的为啥要转成F1。就写自己想读书什么就好了。。那我转成F2是为了什么啊？难道要说因为怕out of status么？我觉得我现在貌似已经Out of status了。。
you don't need to transfer to a F2, just need a letter from your former supervisor or anyone who is a manager or boss to prove that you are a volunteer in his business, no problem at all.

我OPT去年10月开始的，然后当时我以为我可以申请到春季1月入学的学校，就没考虑找工作的事儿，结果12月初的时候学校跟我说还差一个老师的推荐信我才懵了，结果问了那个老师是忘记了。。后来就没赶得上1月开学。现在秋季才能入学了。然后90天到1月就没了啊。然后我糊涂的以为这样的也有60天的grace
period，结果今天想去学校申请转F2，才发现不是。。现在也不知道咋办。。
advisor说要是转身份的话，她可以帮我申请，但是人家如果查了，发现90天结束我没走 还是呆在这里，肯定会拒绝我的转身份申请。如果人家不查，就通过了。然后我说其实我有在90天结束前申请学校，只是出了差错，现在肯定来不及去上学。advisor又说这个很好啊，说有试图保持F1身份，然后就说她可以帮我申请看看，但是结果不定。advisor又说，如果你现在有学校录取的话，在去学校报到前的5个月呆在美国都是合法的，就不用转F2了。
然后我问她说如果我在F2还没批的时候收到录取了，想再转回F1怎么办，她说如果人家还没开始看我的case，直接cancel就好。
搞的我晕乎的。
我还在网上查了regulation，写的挺笼统的。

别传F2了，让你advisor写证明信证明你给他义务工，维持你opt合法性，开始的时间就写1月份90天未到之前，报告给原来的学校就行了
可是我问了我原来学校 我原来的advisor说volunteer不算employment，她不承认。。。。咋办。。
