I love "Out of Africa", one of my all time faves. Love everything about this movie, the cast, the music, the fashion, the story line, everything. Every time I heard the soundtrack, I felt sad and sweet at the same time and also the urge to watch the movie again. Contrary to what you feel about MS & RR, I think no one could have done a better job than MS. She was elegant and graceful in the movie. Normally I don't see her as a beauty, but I think she looked wonderful in "Out of Africa". One more note, this movie did inspire the safari trend that year.

如果说"音乐是流动的建筑, 而建筑是凝固的音乐", 电影和时尚也可以紧密的联系起来, 比如"电影是时尚的展现舞台; 时尚则是电影的现实演绎". 呵呵, 此乃一家之言.
从小喜欢看电影, 尤其喜欢看西方电影, 因为展现的是一个未知和遥远的世界.
来美国后, 开始关注美国跟时尚有关的东西. 逐渐发现, 美国影视作品对美国时尚发展密不可分.

我这个大俗人很少看以前的西部电影，黑白的仅限于《飘》，《罗马假日》，《魂断蓝桥》之类灰常出名的那几部。阿街要多熏陶熏陶我。。。。。（羞涩的小猴子）
阿街美女这份大礼太厚重了，我坐在地板上慢慢地欣赏，感动的眼泪吧嗒吧嗒地往下掉。。。。。。

Africa, 一个永恒的经典主题, 无论是艺术, 文化, 还是其他. 在fashion design方面, african theme几乎每年春天都会出现在T台上. 动物花纹, safari style and color theme, tribal patterns...我觉得那个经典的电影<<走出非洲>>的影响不可小看.
电影强大的阵容, 悠扬的音乐, 优美的风景, 和如诗的爱情故事想不成为经典也难啊. 虽然我一直觉得Meryl Streep配Robert Redford怎么那么显老啊, 一点都没有浪漫地感觉, 但是不可否认, 演员的功底在这个凄凉忧伤又美好的爱情故事里展现无遗. 最后那段悼词, 我每次看每次要哭啊.

书归正传说到fashion, 这个电影一方面是Ingrid Bergman & Hemphrey Bogart的trench coat + fedora hat造型, 另一方面是马拉开什典型的自由奔放的北非民族服饰, 至今仍然对fashion design有着强烈的influence. 前几年的亚洲热片<<色戒>>不得不说多少借鉴了该片的costume design.

看了文字之后我才明白：怨不得我看你贴的第一幅图就想起王佳芝，呵呵。我觉得东方的女性鲜有把帽子戴出味道来的，而汤唯和帽子好像就不能分开。在我眼里，没了帽子的王佳芝，立即就逊色好多。

LZ看过FUNNY FACE 么? 里面有很多赫本的时装照, 非常美! 推荐你看看. 这本电影改变了当时的时装摄影的方法, 从拍全静太的POSE到拍动态的瞬间, 现在来说应该就是抓拍.
看过, 嘿嘿...
不过我对她在里边印象最深的就是那个黑高领衫+黑九分裤, 在bar里跳舞那短. 那个形象据说就是她最日常的装束, 让人重新感受体验黑色的高雅和精致. :)

说到帽子, 不得不提梁嘉辉, Jane March的<<情人>>
里边的法国女孩的帽子, 号称"Le chapeau d' 'Arduer'. 整个角色的描述都是围绕那顶男式礼帽来进行的. 用作者自己的话, 就是戴了帽子, 从新感受自己 as a new a whole.
小说里的帽子跟电影里似乎不太一样, 但是我更喜欢电影里的那顶. 喜欢她配着宽松的亚麻裙, 法国买的晚礼服鞋, 用谁说的话, 那就是"一个悠闲的午后, 慵懒闲散, 无所事事".
