从税务角度,是长期持有绿卡好,还是入籍好?

如题,如果入籍了,回国或者去香港工作,是不是要两边交税?

绿卡也要全球交税吧

税务没有任何差别吧。 不会重复征税,两边报税, You pay whichever is higher.

知道有绿卡公司派亚洲,几年后回来入籍再返回的情况。
涉及身份,税务,专业的事交给专业的人比较好,最好问清楚

如何维持身份

To maintain a green card while working overseas, a green card holder should aim to demonstrate a continuous residence in the U.S. despite the foreign employment. This can be achieved by filing Form N-470 (Application to Preserve Residence for Naturalization Purposes) if the absence is due to qualifying employment. Additionally, it''s crucial to maintain strong ties to the U.S., such as property, bank accounts, and tax obligations, and to return to the U.S. within a year of departure if no reentry permit is obtained.  Here''s a more detailed breakdown:
1. Qualifying Employment and N-470: If the overseas job is with a U.S. employer (like an American firm or a media organization), or involves religious duties, or is a security-related position, it may be considered qualifying employment. Filing Form N-470 (Application to Preserve Residence for Naturalization Purposes) before or within one year of the start of the foreign employment can help preserve the continuous residence requirement for naturalization, even if the absence is longer than one year. This form is particularly useful for those seeking to naturalize as U.S. citizens later on.  2. Maintaining U.S. Ties: Financial Ties: Maintain U.S. bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.  Property and Investments: Keep property, investments, and other assets in the U.S.  Tax Obligations: File U.S. taxes (Form 1040) annually, even if all income is earned abroad, and report foreign bank accounts.  Professional and Social Ties: Maintain memberships in professional organizations, clubs, and other affiliations in the U.S.  Frequent Travel: Return to the U.S. frequently, even if for short periods, to demonstrate your intent to maintain a U.S. residence.  3. Re-entry Permit (if needed): If you anticipate being outside the U.S. for more than one year, you should apply for a reentry permit (Form I-131) before your departure. A reentry permit allows you to re-enter the U.S. as a green card holder after an extended absence.  4. Returning Resident Visa (SB-1): If you are outside the U.S. for more than a year without a reentry permit, you will need to apply for a Returning Resident visa (SB-1) at a U.S. embassy or consulate. This visa is used to prove that your absence was temporary and that you still intend to maintain your permanent residency.  Important Considerations: Absence Duration: While there''s no strict rule, absences of more than 180 days may raise questions about your intent to reside in the U.S. Evidence of Intent: Be prepared to provide evidence of your intent to return to the U.S. when re-entering, such as documents related to your U.S. ties. Consult an Attorney: It''s advisable to consult with an immigration attorney for personalized advice based on your specific circumstances.
